Goal of the Photo

In late August annually the Rader Family Farms hosts a few weekends of inviting patrons to walk through their sunflower fields. This event includes plenty of photo friendly backdrops including the tractor seen in this picture. In this photo I wanted to include the tractor as the central foreground figure while still showing the fields of sunflowers along with the incredible cloud formations and skies.

Photo Analysis

This photo captures a certain nostalgic feeling of farm life from the past. The angled tractor as the central focal point along with the fields and sunflowers as a background bring to mind days of old. The blue skies with full pillowy clouds add to the overall feel of a late summer or early fall harvest.

Photo Post Processing

The clouds were a bit overexposed and I felt that darkening them would bring out more detail in the photo. The image saturation was also taken down to enhance the overall "antique" feel. Finally, after the enhancements were made the photo was brought into Adobe Photoshop CC software and the final addition of the Corcoran Studio logo was placed in the lower corner and the image was exported out at the desired final image screen size.
