Goal of the Photo

At the Rader Family Farms Sunflower days I wanted to capture the large amount of sunflowers in a field while highlighting a single sunflower's yellow flower and darker center seeds. Ominous large white clouds lurk in the background as a late summer storm gathers force.

Photo Analysis

The hero of this image is the singular sunflower standing straight and tall in the foreground of the image. This sunflower seems to be attentive as if watching or listening carefully while the background sunflowers go about their own ways. The large clouds suggest an afternoon storm arriving soon with much needed rain.

Photo Post Processing

This photo was slightly desaturated and the sky darkened to bring out detail in the clouds. A dark vignette was placed around the edges and the photo was brought into Adobe Photoshop CC software for the final addition of the Corcoran Studio logo was placed in the lower corner and the image was exported out at the desired final image screen size.
